HP Deskjet 3050 Printer Driver Free Download– The HP Deskjet 3050 All-in-One can print, scan, and copy. Print documents, Web pages, and homework wirelessly. They are designed for fast, reliable performance and with the environment in mind. Easy wireless printing.
Design & Use
Setting up the printer is relatively easy once you throw away the included carry case. After you plug in the power cord and plug it in, you can install the ink cartridges in their slots by opening the gray door on the front of the printer.
Once this is done, you can continue with the setup by installing the driver disk and setting up the printer to work as a shared printer over the wireless network or a dedicated machine via USB using the setup utility. Follow the instructions, and the setup should be completed quickly.
If you’re a wire hater, you’re in luck: You can use the 802.11n wireless card to connect to your local network and share across multiple computers (provided drivers are installed).
If you don’t have Wi-Fi, you can install drivers and use your printer as a dedicated device via a USB connection. There isn’t a well-described media slot on the front of the printer for DPOF or media card printing, but it does have a USB input on the back of the unit.
The control interface is quite self-explanatory because it is quite simple compared to other entry-level multifunction printers. Located at the printer’s top, you can select which function you want to use (scan, enable wireless, etc.) or navigate the dot-matrix menu screen with three option buttons.
Features & Performance
Like many entry-level printers, it can’t print on anything crazy like T-shirts. Still, you can print on almost any sheet of paper no more than 3mm thick or larger than executive-ordered paper.
Overall, color performance is weak, with average color accuracy and a slightly smaller (but acceptable) color gamut. It also doesn’t have the best detail in the image, but the worst glitch we found was almost on a microscopic scale. However, it does show some artifacts in high-contrast situations.
Works for entry-level multifunction on a budget, but not high performance.
If you’re looking for an affordable pickup printer that can perform basic office functions and isn’t bad at printing photos. With good color accuracy, and the ability to fulfill multiple office functions, this printer can be used in dormitories or offices that are rarely used.
However, it’s important to remember that these printers will not compete well with high-end models dedicated to professional printmaking or multifunction printers designed to do it all: Remember, this is an entry-level printer.
The bottom line is that the printer’s biggest drawback is that it doesn’t have the same level of internet support that newer printers have, and that’s a problem that won’t go away. Also, relying on wasteful CMY cartridges is a waste of money and ink in the long run.
However, this is a fantastic budget option if you are looking for a basic printer that can accommodate a low workload well. It doesn’t have a lot of bells and whistles, but it’s inexpensive and should suit the needs of students or families fairly well if you’re looking to save money.
Color Performance
Generating user-generated profiles does a pretty good job of maintaining a good level of color accuracy. While there is no pattern in which color has the most errors, there are no significant outliers or specific colors that don’t seem to work well.
Capable of reproducing over 47% of the total color gamut measured, it does a fair job of producing a wide range of color values. While not ideal, you are much less likely to notice flaws in your ability to reproduce the colors you’re asking for.
Print Speed
When you send a print command, you don’t have to wait more than a few seconds before starting work. Even over Wi-Fi, which can sometimes be a little slower to transmit information than a USB cable, it doesn’t keep you waiting.
If you choose to use your for photo printing, you should be aware that you can wait approximately 3.39 seconds for every square inch of your printout. Knowing that it should come as no surprise that a 4 x 6-inch print will take about 74 seconds per print to come out and longer for the larger sizes.
Suppose you’re looking for a printer more likely to look to document printing services. In that case, this printer manages to deliver the highest quality document pages at a speed of 2.25 pages per minute. While these results don’t set any speed records, the page quality is pretty good for what you’d expect at that speed, so you shouldn’t be disappointed.
Details
The printer needs to have deep black levels to provide the broadest possible range of contrast, and the higher the DMax size, the darker the black levels.
This is not a measurable area of weakness, as it has an excellent DMax size of 2.93, meaning your photo should not have any errors in shadows.
While it does have tools available for acceptable detail performance, it falls short in several areas. Namely, it doesn’t seem capable of making sharp edges and has some artifacts in shadow detail, which is confusing given the large DMax size.
The gradient looks good, as it doesn’t show many bands of color or other visible errors, although there are minor artifacts that become visible when the image is blown up. While it struggles less with larger images, smaller scans reveal some artifacts and loss of differentiation in high-contrast images.
